The BTS is a fully integrated high current half bridge for motor drive applications. It is part of the NovalithICTM family containing one p-channel high-side MOSFET and one n-channel low-side MOSFET with an integrated driver ICIC BTS 7960 in one package. Due to the p-channel high side switch, the need for a charge pump is eliminated thus minimizing EMI. Interfacing to a microcontroller is made easy by the integrated driver IC which features logic level inputs, diagnosis with current sense, slew rate adjustment, dead time generation, and protection against overtemperature, overvoltage, Undervoltage, overcurrent, and short circuit. The BTS 7960 provides a cost-optimized solution for protected high current PWM motor drives with very low board space consumption.
The DS1307 serial real-time clock (RTC) is a lowpower, full binary-coded decimal (BCD) clock/calendar plus 56 bytes of NV SRAM. Address and data are transferred serially through an I2C, bidirectional bus. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The end of the month date is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including corrections for leap year. The clock operates in either the 24-hour or 12-hour format with AM/PM indicator. The DS1307 has a built-in power-sense circuit that detects power failures and automatically switches to the backup supply. Timekeeping operation continues while the part operates from the backup supply.
LM386 is a widely used audio amplifier IC manufactured in 8 pin dip, VSSOP, SOIC and other packages. The IC is basically designed for low voltage commercial applications, apart from commercial applications it is also a famous IC among electronic hobbyists and experimenters. The internal gain of the IC is set to 20 but it can be adjusted by connecting a resistor and a capacitor in series between the pin number 1 and 8, by this procedure the user can adjust the gain between 20 to 200.
