Desoldering braid or desoldering wick is a pre-fluxed copper braid that is used to remove solder, which allows components to be replaced and excess solder (e.g. bridging) to be removed. The soldering iron is applied to the wick as it sits on the solder joint, and when both are brought up to the solder’s melting point, the flux is activated and, through capillary action from the braided design, solder is drawn up the wick.

Teensy 3.1
The Teensy is a breadboard-friendly development board with loads of features in a, well, teensy package. The Teensy 3.1 brings a 32 bit ARM Cortex microprocessor into the mix so you can do some serious number crunching.
The Teensy 3.1 comes pre-flashed with a bootloader so you can program it using the on-board USB connection: No external programmer needed! It’s designed as an open source Xbee replacement radio set, offering a lower price, longer range (approx one mile) and superior performance to Xbee radios. Its available in 915Mhz and 433Mhz; and in the following configurations: serial board (for the air) and USB (for the ground).
The system provides a full-duplex link using HopeRF’s HM-TRP modules running custom, open source firmware. Interface to the module is via standard 5V-tolerant TTL serial / FTDI USB serial.
Firmware upgrades and configuration are fully supported in the APM Mission Planner. Configuration is also possible through the 3DR Radio configurator and AT commands.
